A NOTE ABOUT MAKE, COLOR AND FINISH

Our products are crafted using natural materials and heritage techniques. Products may have natural variations such as knots or graining or exhibit characteristic signs of an artist’s hand. We consider these the proud hallmarks of natural materials and of hand-craftsmanship which contribute to the uniqueness, beauty and soul of our pieces.

Our items come from different producers in different countries, so all colors may not match across lines or there may be small size adjustments. For example, a shade of white in one collection may be creamier or brighter than the shade of white in another collection. We endeavor to improve improve the design, make, and finish of our products continuously. Therefore, items from different production runs may vary slightly.

To match a previously ordered piece, please review our website to confirm that dimensions and other specifications have not changed.
CARE AND CLEANING

Our craftspeople create their pieces using a wide variety of materials and finishes. Below are some suggestions for their care for them to maintain their beauty and provide you with many years of use and satisfaction.

GENERAL

Avoid variations of sunlight, temperature and humidity. Placing a wooden piece in a room which fluctuates from being humid to being dry can cause the wood to crack as it absorbs and then releases moisture.

* Avoid placing furniture directly in front of vents or wood may crack.
* Avoid exposing your piece to strong sunlight which can change finish color.
* Avoid writing directly on the surface of your piece or it may mark.
* Avoid leaving water or other spills on your piece for any period of time as it may cause wood, veneers, and lacquer finishes to warp or bubble. Dab spills dry with a soft cloth.
* Use coasters to avoid moisture rings.
* Acetone and alcohol-based fluids can dissolve finishes and leave unsightly spots. This does not apply to mirrored pieces which are impervious to most spills.
* Use undyed felt pads for anything that sits for long periods of time.
* Anything hot can damage the finish. Always use protective pads under hot dishes and plates.

WOOD & LACQUER

Clean wood and lacquer with a soft cloth or duster. Avoid rubbing hard as this may produce tiny scratches. Ammonia can cause discoloration and dull the finish. Use glass cleaners only for glass and mirror.

MARBLE

Wipe spills off marble immediately. As with most materials (except glass or mirror) use coasters to avoid moisture rings.

GRASSCLOTH & CLOTH

Our grass cloth and cloth are sealed with a clear coat of lacquer.Both are pretty resilient but you’ll want to dust them frequently to prevent accumulations which can be more difficult to remove.If you spill, blot dry with a soft cloth.

RATTAN

Our rattan is either natural or lacquered. To preserve the look of your rattan dust frequently with a dry cloth. Restore the shine with a soft cloth and a very, very small amount of furniture polish.

GLASS & MIRROR

Clean glass and mirrors with gentle glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners or using rough scrubbing material.
We offer both standard and expedited commercial shipping as calculated shipment rates in your shopping cart. Or, on occasion, we’ll need to call you with that rate to complete your transaction.

Generally, you’ll want to ask yourself whether you want curbside delivery and will unpack and inspect the furniture? Or, do you want to pay more for white glove delivery where the goods are delivered inside, unpacked, inspected and packaging hauled away? Managed communities will need to confirm that you can receive less-than-truckload deliveries?

We offer both both UPS and Trucking services to a commercial location (an example of which would be an interior designer’s receiving warehouse) and to residential homes. Depending on the service you choose, your goods will arrive in a box or on a pallet. Shipping fees vary depending on your situation.

UPS

Many products ship via UPS. If an order contains both UPS-able and non-UPS-able items, they will ship separately.

FERRY

Shipments requiring ferry service, access to gated communities, and other special services may be assessed additional fees, as charged by the freight company.

UPHOLSTERY

Each of our custom upholstered items is custom made just for you! As a result, lead times for custom upholstery are longer than lead times for stock items. Please check with your customer service person for lead times and delivery information when ordering.

DOCKING
If your business location does not have a loading dock, please notify us to avoid possible injury to driver and delivery personnel.

ADVANCE NOTIFICATION

Advance notification by freight carrier, within a window of delivery, is included at no additional cost for freight shipment

INSPECTION
Upon receiving your shipment, we need you to do the following to avoid any misunderstandings about damage and replacement goods.
* IMPORTANT: If you notice obvious box damage, write down what you see on the delivery receipt the driver asks you to sign. Take simple photos. Notify driver of the damage.
* Inspect the product noting any damage on the delivery receipt
* Contact our claims department via email info@greige.co within 5 days of receiving your shipment. We’ll ask you to send photos of all damaged products and photos of any damaged boxing and packaging materials. If you don’t do this step, we won’t be able to make an insurance claim with the shippers.
* Keep all of the original packaging material
If shipment is refused for damage please state reason for refusal on delivery receipt and notify us at info@greige.co
