The unpolished finish delivers soft, modern color that magnifies the gemstone’s organic, mineral nature.

Layer one for soft, modern color. Stack and style them together or with other jewellery for a curated, bohemian vibe. Our love beads look great as a wrist wrap, too. These gemstone love beads are exclusive to Greige as part of a triple-brand collaboration with Jaipure and PurHerbals.

Indian jewelry uses very traditional, old-school hand skills passed down from family-to-family. These generationally learned, heritage skills are exacting, intense, daredevil work. Irreplaceable. Craftspeople start by saw-cutting the gemstones into small cubes. The next step is to turn the cut cubes into round beads by hand sanding the edges on a grinding wheel. Next, the beads go into a vibrating machine that knocks off small edges for a more uniform finish. Next, the beads are individually drilled, then strung on a stainless wire for on-the-go lifestyles. Finished with a blackened sterling clasp. Hand ground in Jaipur, India-the world capital of gemstone cutting. Imported
Care for your love beads the way you would care for any fine jewelry. Your body's oils may absorb into the unpolished finish to make it slightly more reflective. If you want to restore some of the original finish, wash the beads with gentle jewelry cleaner or soap.
Muslins were, likely, the world’s first luxury trades. Demand for their sensory qualities of airiness, softness and coolness on the skin drove exports all over the ancient world. Domestically, Indian muslins are regarded as an art form that rivaled the beauty and transparency of silk. In Rome and beyond, Indian handwovens were sold as ‘textalisventalis’ or ‘woven air’.
